Additional course work:

Wanda has done advanced studies in China on the clinical practice of acupuncture and Chinese medicine at Nanjing International Acupuncture Training Center. While doing course work in China, she received extensive training in the treatment of Bell’s Palsy and facial paralysis, Chinese herbal medicine, and traditional Chinese orthopedic manipulations (bone setting).

Work experience:

Wanda began her career in 2005, working as a licensed massage therapist in a busy chiropractic and naturopathic clinic in Salem, Oregon. She joined the Gateway team of practitioners in January of 2010 and currently works as an acupuncturist, massage therapist, chiropractic assistant, and physical therapy aide.

Specialization/area of interest:

Wanda specializes in the treatment of pain, traumatic injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. She also has an interest in acupuncture research. She has collaborated with medical doctors in China, in the interest of designing and publishing research on the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome and patellar chondromylasia with traditional Chinese orthopedic manipulation techniques.


Wanda’s hobbies include: traveling, camping, hiking, dancing and learning foreign languages. She has studied Spanish, French, Russian, Korean, and Mandarin Chinese.
